Temperature Control With A Garage Heater

Some places are often used for many purposes, and garage is one of them. Thus it becomes necessary to take adequate measures for maintaining a comfortable working environment. In cold days, a garage heater is the most useful option to provide sufficient warmth, as garages are often badly insulated.

A garage heater may be fueled through variety of ways like kerosene or petrol, each having its own efficiency and characteristics. The one which uses propane as its fuel is called a propane radiant heater, and is quite common

Propane forms an ideal alternative for such radiant heaters since it is an extremely clean fuel with close to zero toxic gases or harmful by products released on its combustion making them very much suitable for indoor places like your house. Apart from these, it stores around 1000 gallons of fuel power in it adding to its concentration. Above all it?s the heating elements which radiate heat through such heaters thereby no requirement of a blowing fan as like in other heaters.

A garage heater must be flexible enough to be transported anywhere within the garage and its compact nature helps it in achieving it. Thus a propane radiant heater, one of its types, has a propane cylinder attached to it which makes it look compact in structure. Also the cylinder can be refueled on exhaustion enhancing its reusability. The wheels provide an additional mobility to such heaters.

Another aspect to be focused on is the temperature control facility of a garage heater. Since your garage may have a collection of many inflammable materials like kerosene, petrol, paint, wood, papers etc, high temperatures makes them vulnerable to ignition temperature. Also in case of a propane radiant heater, it must have a controlled flame which does not affect things placed nearby.

Some garage heaters are single propane tank while some are double propane tank. The former is called a single Tag-a-long while the latter is referred as double Tag-a-long.

Due to the presence of a double propane tank, double Tag-a-long provides quick and more heat emission than the single Tag-a-long. Also the individual tanks can be controlled through manual controlling on the heater itself.

Also radiant heaters have a property of heating only specific non-insulated portions regions rather then the whole area where it is placed. This helps in better fuel consumption by making efficient use of propane like fuel and thus averaging its overall running cost. This makes it a popular garage heater.
